On March 23, 2024 hundreds of students were in attendance for the The Delaware Racial Justice Collaborative's Black Student Summit. The event is a full-day gathering to connect and uplift members of Black Student Unions & Associations, Advisors, School administrators and allies that support them as they fight for equity and justice. On February 22nd, the 1st Annual Black History Month Spelling Bee brought together over 40 enthusiastic students from grades 3rd through 5th! Representing schools from across New Castle County and even New Jersey, these students showcased their spelling prowess and dedication to literacy.

This event was made possible through a collaborative effort between the City of Wilmington Department of Parks and Recreation, United Way of Delaware, and 100 Black Men of Delaware.

On Feb 22, 2024, four of our students from various schools across New Castle County and New Jersey showcased their spelling skills at the 1st Annual Black History Month Spelling Bee Competition. These bees are not just fun but also promote literacy and recognize hard work. 🏆
