Helping All Seniors Become Successful After Graduation
In Delaware, every year, thousands of high school seniors put on their caps and gowns, ready to embark on a new chapter in their lives. But as they leave the halls of their schools for the last time, many face a daunting reality: they don’t have a clear path for their immediate future.
All high school graduates in our state deserve to be successful. But success doesn’t just happen, it’s cultivated when we do things with purpose. The truth is we can no longer leave our graduating seniors’ futures to chance. We can’t waste any more time. We have to help them now.
On Thursday, March 9th, we will host a conversation around how we can help every high school senior become successful in their chosen career path. We will come together to discuss a comprehensive solution that will help us shepherd, equip, and guide our young people as they begin their journeys towards becoming successful citizens. Please join us for this important conversation.
The solution
Success For Our Seniors (SOS)
This initiative brings together different groups of people to make sure all students, no matter their chosen path, get the resources, guidance, and help they need to succeed after graduation. The vision is to one day provide all seniors with 1-on-1 coaching and mentorship to help them before and after graduation.
Here’s how Success for Our Seniors (SOS) works:
Determine Path
We help students identify the path they intend to take early in their senior year so they have something to work towards.
Celebrate Path
We help students celebrate their chosen path so they stay motivated to work hard to achieve their career or college goals.
Connect to Resources
We provide career and college exploration to help students make their plan a reality after graduation.
Give Support
Students receive guidance and support to, through, and after graduation to ensure they stay on track to achieving their goals.
Join us on March 9th to learn more about the SOS pilot program at Dover High School.
Event Details
The event is by invitation-only. There are only 115 seats so it will fill up quickly. RSVP today to secure your spot.
