March 2 is National Read Across America Day

National Read Across America Day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading. Locally, several activities and programs are planned for March 2 in conjunction with our partners Vision to Learn, the Delaware Blue Coats, and the Wilmington Police Department.

9 a.m. at Eastside Charter School, WilmingtonVision to Learn will provide students with free vision screenings and eyeglasses.

10 a.m. at Harlan Elementary School, WilmingtonWilmington Police Department will visit with 1st Grade Students. And Vision to Learn will provide students with free vision screenings and eyeglasses.

2 p.m. Delaware Blue Coats, Books and Basketball Program at Highlands Elementary School, Wilmington
