At United Way of Delaware, or UWDE, we believe collective action can drive meaningful change. This year, I celebrate a deeply meaningful milestone: 25 years with UWDE. As I reflect on this journey, I realize that our mission is so much more than addressing immediate needs — it’s about sparking lasting, systemic change and paving the way for future leaders. Leading UWDE as its first Black president and CEO is not just a privilege — it’s a sacred responsibility to inspire, uplift and challenge others to lead with intention and heart.
