Delta Sigma Theta

Where Does Your Donation Go?

Since our founding in 1913, we have distinguished ourselves as public servants that boldly confront the challenges of African Americans and, hence, all Americans. Over the years, a wide range of programs addressing education, health, international development, and strengthening of the African American family have evolved. In realizing our mission, the Wilmington (DE) Alumnae Chapter provides an extensive array of public service initiatives through DST’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrusts. Your donations will help us make an even bigger impact through these focus areas.

In addition, our Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS Institute, and EMBODI programs all help prepare young African-American girls and boys to become successful young adults.

Physical & Mental Health

Our health programs advocate the importance and benefits of lifestyle changes that affect longevity, morbidity and mortality and seek to address health disparities in the access and delivery of public health services.
