Five years ago, Hurricane Maria destroyed the Island of Puerto Rico. After Maria, the Island has not recuperated. Any future hurricane sets back the efforts of any infrastructural repairs. Residents of the island territory still suffer power and water outages from this month’s Hurricane Fiona, along with damage lingering from Hurricane Maria in 2017. Puerto Ricans still trying to recover from Hurricane Fiona have a plea for any contribution to their necessities.
The population in Puerto Rico cries out: “Please, don’t forget about us.”
