Creating solutions to ensure we have communities where everyone can thrive.
United Way of Delaware’s public policy agenda reflects the work of our partnering agencies across the state in the areas of reading proficiency, college and career readiness and financial stability. United Way advocates for sound policies affecting the non-profit sector’s capacity to advance the common good.
We don’t just ask people to give; we work for the common good by advocating positive policy change to improve the education, skills and financial stability for all. Our advocacy work is focused on helping:
• All of Delaware’s children read on grade level by third grade;
• Young people develop the skills they need to live healthy, successful lives; and,
• Families map a path leading to economic stability and financial empowerment.
