United Way of Delaware’s Get Reading/Brothers United, Delaware 2-1-1, The Christina School District, and The Delaware Department of Education have partnered to provide a unique training to the men in our community.
Join us on Thursday May 23rd at Frederick Douglas Stubbs Elementary School (1100 N. Pine St. Wilmington, DE) as we learn how to raise empowered kids.
Teri (Brown) Lawler is an Education Associate and expert on Trauma Informed Practices and Social and Emotional Learning for the Delaware Department of Education. Her “Brain Architecture Game” allows people to learn how trauma and toxic stress impacts our children’s ability to read, and creates obstacles to success. Attendees will leave equipped to help understand and address these issues.
