Fatherhood, Family & Mentorship

On Friday, June 10th at 8 am, the United Way of Delaware and the Delaware Racial Justice Collaborative will host the first ever Men of Distinction Breakfast.

The event is  sponsored by Stepping Stones Credit Union and 100 Black Men of Delaware, and will be held at The DuPont Country Club in Wilmington. It’s no secret that life can’t be done alone. We all need help along the way. For some of our young people, help comes from parents and family members. For others, it comes from guardians, teachers, and mentors. But, all of our young leaders deserve to have someone in their corner to love and guide them through life’s challenges.

We are gathering to start a conversation about the important role fathers, families, and mentors play in helping Delaware’s young people today. And start a dialogue about how the men of Delaware can best guide our boys, teens, and young men so they grow up and become contributors.
