Wilmington, DE — (June 30, 2025)
United Way of Delaware will host the 2025 Delaware Minority Small Business Expo on Tuesday, July 15, at the Del-One Conference Center on Delaware Technical Community College’s Terry Campus in Dover, Delaware. The event is free to the public and will showcase an exciting opportunity for community members and entrepreneurs to connect, hear from business experts, and celebrate small businesses in the Small Wonder.
Minority-owned small businesses throughout Delaware are invited to register and reserve their booth before Sunday, July 13, and join their peers for a day of activities designed to help small businesses in the First State thrive. United Way of Delaware is excited to join Presenting Sponsor Wells Fargo and event sponsors Del-One Federal Credit Union, Barclays, and Bloom Energy to bring together business leaders, corporate buyers, community advocates, and resource partners from throughout the state, helping entrepreneurs define and achieve their goals.
“We believe that when minority-owned businesses succeed, entire communities thrive,” said Michelle Taylor, President and CEO of United Way of Delaware, “We are proud to host the Delaware Minority Small Business Expo for a second year because supporting small businesses is essential to helping all Delawareans achieve financial stability. With the continued support of our partners and sponsors, this event is more than a celebration. It is a catalyst for opportunity, growth, and lasting economic impact. Join us on July 15th to partner, pitch, build, and grow together.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in business development workshops, panel discussions, vendor walkthroughs, and networking sessions aimed at helping business owners gain insight from leading voices and experts in areas like financial management, sales and marketing, health and wellness, and more while also having the chance to promote and sell their goods to the public as part of the vendor marketplace.
“The most beneficial part of last year’s Expo was the networking,” said Tynisha Savage-Johnson, whose family owns Family First Funeral Services. “Talking to other businesses about how they did what they did, and giving and getting support, was the best part. Being around other people on the same playing field made me feel like I was among my peers, and it was really encouraging. And the food was slamming too!”
