Delaware nonprofits play a vital role in filling the gaps in services that the government does not provide, often to our state’s most in-need citizens. Nonprofits are on the front lines every day, providing services and support to young children, seniors, and individuals living in poverty. Delaware non-profits have experienced abrupt and devastating cancellations of their federal contracts or grants. These cuts directly affect our neighbors, people who rely on nonprofits’ services for food, care, and other support.

Note: The Delaware General Assembly passed a $98.2 million grant-in-aid bill during the 2025 legislative session. This bill provides financial support to various non-profit organizations that offer services to Delawareans. The funding is allocated to various categories, including government agencies, senior centers, community organizations, fire and ambulance services, and veterans’ organizations.
