Wilmington, DE— (March 20, 2026): United Way of Delaware (UWDE) today announced changes to its executive leadership structure to enhance the organization’s strategic focus and operational effectiveness as it continues to expand its impact across the state.
Effective March 3, 2026, Tierra Fair has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Dan Cruce has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer.
These leadership transitions show UWDE’s ongoing commitment to aligning leadership with its strategic priorities, improving performance, and fostering innovation.
In her new role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Fair will oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations, ensuring teams, systems, and resources are aligned to deliver measurable results for the communities served by UWDE. She will also lead efforts to improve organizational efficiency and promote cross-departmental collaboration.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Cruce will lead the organization’s long-term strategic direction, focusing on strengthening partnerships, advancing innovative initiatives, and identifying growth opportunities. His efforts will help ensure UWDE’s programs and initiatives stay aligned with the community’s and partners’ changing needs.
