The Tocqueville Legacy Library Ribbon Cutting Ceremony recently took place at Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood Center. Each book in the new collection is branded with the name of a United Way of Delaware Tocqueville Society donor. Dignitaries on hand for the opening of the new library  included Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki, Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood Center Executive Director Michelle Williams, UWDE President and CEO Michelle Taylor as well as  members of United Way’s Tocqueville Society.

Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood Center provides early childhood services to about 200 children. The center is also a resource center for parents, and dedicated space for teenage activities. The Tocqueville Legacy Library will provide books and related early education resources in one of Wilmington’s under served communities. “The Tocqueville Legacy Library is a vital addition to the educational services we provide for the community,” said Michelle Williams, Executive Director of Hilltop. “We are honored to house this resource at Hilltop.”
